What a shame, this store is closing. And it was one of those places I drove by all the time thinking, "I've got to go in there one day."

Upon hearing that it was closing, I finally made my way down there - everything is 70% off and she is also selling the fixtures. The apparel that was left is very pricey, but better at 70% off. Still, I could not have afforded to shop here, most unfortunately.

I did score 3 of her mannequins for $35 each - I know I'll put them to good use at one of my shows.

P.I.N.K is awesome because the profits go towards breast cancer research. Its also awesome because the boutique is a cute little house, and the set up is very cool. It really has that independent boutique sort of vibe.

However, I can't say the same about the clothes. For the prices, I was expecting Anna Sui, James Perse, Theory, Botkier, COH, Tory Burch, or Anna Corinna. On this particular day,  the prices of the clothing didn't match the quality and look of the clothing. Most of the items I saw were house brand items. $70 for a James Perse tee is one thing, but $70 for a house brand tee shirt is another. I wouldn't pay for the latter. Not because of the name, but the quality is no where near the same. YES, I know where the procceds go... totally awesome, but I'm talking about the merchandise.

I think I like the website slightly better, but not much.

I think P.I.N.K. is the cutest store around. The owner renovated a beat up old house while preserving its cottage-like charm and then she stocked it with cute designer stuff that's trendy and classy not cheap and trashy like what you'll find at other Hermosa clothing stores... It's pretty expensive...........but they have good sales annnnnnnnnnnd the best part is that every penny they make goes to breast cancer research so it's a great way to donate to a great charitable cause while purchasing great items to add to your wardrobe.

Yes, it's pricey...but it goes to a good cause AND when you don't feel like driving to century city, this place is a good substitute for heading to Bloomingdale's! (Albeit a MUCH smaller substitute...but it's of the same genre of clothing lines and as expected, it's only a women's clothing store!)

I hate to see historic buildings get torn down......unless they are really really REALLY in sad shape, and even then I think that there must be some way to restore them, if only someone cared enough.  I have watched a situation unfold in downtown Hermosa:  A very cool old frame beach house, high on a hill, kinda chewed up and in need of help.......I saw it sitting vacant and thought it was destined to die.  I was wrong.  It has been renovated and painted pretty.  The white-fenced porch overlooks a newly planted lawn bordered by roses.  The new store within, p.i.n.k., had its grand opening Oct. 1.  The owner, a Hermosa Beach resident, is donating ALL of the profits from this upscale clothing shop to breast cancer research.  There are some very nice looking jeans and sweaters in the windows, I must say.  I am told they also carry jewelry, doggy duds, men's shirts and baby things in addition to women's apparel.  So far business is booming.  Guilt-free shopping to the max!
